Abstract

This research aims to examine the growth and development process of elementary school age children who depend on the world of technology (gadgets). A gadget is a device or electronic device that is relatively small in size and has a special function and is practical in its use, where this gadget is able to provide the latest technology that can help make human activities easier so that this gadget can be said to be one of the developments in technology itself. However, we cannot deny that the existence of gadgets certainly has positive and negative impacts, especially on young children. This research is based on the influence of gadgets on the development of school-age children. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method, where the research process produces descriptive data in the form of text or speech of people or observed behavior, which is expected to be able to produce a study of an object. which will be researched. And the results of this research explain the positive and negative influence of gadgets on the development of elementary school age children.
