Optimizing the Role of PKH Facilitators in Learning Activities during the Family Capacity Building Sessions

This study aims to identify and analyze the optimization of the role of Family Hope Program (PKH) facilitators in learning activities during Family Capacity Building Sessions (Pertemuan Peningkatan Kemampuan Keluarga or P2K2). PKH facilitators play a key role in supporting beneficiary families (KPM) in improving their quality of life through educational and empowerment activities. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and participatory observation involving PKH facilitators and KPM in several locations across Indonesia. The results show that optimal PKH facilitators can enhance the effectiveness of learning by providing direct guidance, coordinating materials relevant to the needs of KPM, and building positive, trust-based relationships. In addition, facilitators also play a role in motivating KPM to actively participate in learning activities and apply the knowledge gained to their daily lives. This study concludes that the integrated role of PKH facilitators in learning activities significantly contributes to improving families’ abilities to enhance their social and economic well-being. Therefore, optimizing the role of PKH facilitators in learning activities should be a priority in community-based family empowerment programs.
