Understanding the values of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah (AIK) is a crucial aspect of character formation for students in Muhammadiyah higher education institutions. However, in practice, students’ comprehension of AIK remains superficial and is often met with negative perceptions due to its association with rigidity and irrelevance to campus life. In response to this issue, a community service program in the form of Baitul Arqom was conducted to strengthen the theoretical and practical internalization of AIK values among students of the Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Mataram, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The activity was held on December 15–17, 2023, at the Ulul Albab Al-Hurry Mosque on the UMMAT campus, involving AIK lecturers and instructors from the Council for Cadre Development and Human Resources. The methods included interactive discussions, guided prayer practice based on Muhammadiyah Tarjih principles, night prayers in congregation, and Qur’an reading sessions. The evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test instruments. Results indicated a significant increase in understanding, with average scores rising from 55 to 80. A total of 200 students actively participated in the program. In conclusion, Baitul Arqom effectively enhanced students’ understanding and practice of AIK. It is recommended that this program be implemented regularly with follow-up activities that promote continuous worship habits and spiritual mentoring.
